Toyota Scottburgh/Eyethu soccer tourney a success

Sihle High School is the 2017 Toyota/Eyethu Champion. They beat Hlengiwe High School 2 : 0.

SCOTTBURGH CIRCUIT Management Centre hosted the final soccer tournament at the Malangeni Sports Ground on Saturday, September 23.

Kenterton Primary receives a huge trophy from Mr R. Khathi on behalf of Halfway Toyota – Scottburgh Branch.

The event was well supported as 18 teams converged on the ground to stand a chance of winning the coveted prizes. Each circuit was represented by three schools.

Main sponsors for the event were Halfway Toyota Scottburgh and Eyethu Driving School and the supporting organisations were the Department of Education, Umdoni Municipality and the Department of Sports and Recreation.

Kenterton Junior Primary School crowned as 2017 Champions after beating Mtwalume Junior Primary by one goal (1:0) and awarded with gold medals, trophies and playing kit.

The High Schools’ Best Player Of The Tournament Award went to Ntando Ngcobo, a grade 10 learner from Hlengiwe High School. He won free lessons for his learners’ test, plus free driving lessons until he acquires a driver’s licence sponsored by Eyethu Driving School.
