The Amahlongwa community is reeling in shock at the recent incidence of violence and killings.
On Tuesday December 18 at about 7pm, Umkomaas police attended a report of a shooting at Ntaka Butchery and opened two cases of murder and four cases of attempted murder.
The injured who suffered bullet wounds were taken to G J Crookes and Kingsway hospitals. A 9 mm firearm, 14 spent cartridges , one with a live round were seized at the scene.
The perpetrators motive for the violence is unknown.
Detective Constable Nyawose attended the scene.
Capt Shaik has stated that investgations are underway and an appeal is being made to persons who may have information that can assist with the investigation to contact Lt Col Ngcobo at the Umkomaas SAPS on 039-973-6100.
