Roseville Secondary wins Mayor’s Cup

Roseville Secondary School’s senior boys' soccer team

Roseville Secondary School’s senior boys’ soccer team participated in the Mayor’s Cup soccer tournament on Saturday, May 12, at the Malangeni sports ground. The tournament was sponsored by local municipalities for schools within the municipality.

Competition at this tournament was of a very high standard and was equally matched with lucrative incentives which include soccer kits, medals and soccer balls for the winning team.

The Roseville team had a difficult path to the final which was played against Sihle High School. Crafty football skills and a well-thought out game-plan saw the Roseville boys outplay their formidable opponents, with a final score of 2-1.

The principal, staff, learners and members of the school’s governing are extremely proud of the outstanding achievement of their soccer stars and wish them well in future tournaments.

The school looks forward to seeing the girls’ soccer and netball teams also achieving similar accolades in their upcoming tournaments.
