Bread sealers collected for wheelchair project

Naidoo Memorial Primary School invited Mrs. Sue Martin from Quadriplegic Association of South Africa(QASA) to deliver a talk about the collection of bread sealers for a Wheelchair Project. This Project is growing in strength and well over 3000 wheelchairs were donated since its inception in 2007. A collection of 200kg of bread sealers and 450kg of beverage tops are needed to purchase a wheelchair. The project teaches valuable lessons to the learners and the community on caring for the environment and the benefits of recycling. Learners of NMPS and the community have embraced the initiative with great zest. Seen above are learners who have made huge collections in a very short period of time. Well done!
