Two people, a man and a woman drowned at Sezela Beach earlier today, September 14. The body of the woman was recovered by the police search and rescue team with the assistance of NSRI .
According to a relative, the man had come to perform a ritual with one of his initiates when they were both pulled out to sea. The body of the man is still missing.
“The body of the woman was found in the surf behind the surf breaker line approximately a kilometre from where they were washed out to sea. The NSRI team brought the body of the woman onto the sea rescue craft and brought it ashore,” said Kevin Fourie, NSRI Rocky Bay station commander.
The search for the man believed to be from Qoloqolo continues. Police have opened an inquest docket.
